Depart from Sapporo to Noboribetsu: it takes around 2 hours by car. Upon arrival, explore Jigokudani, also known as Hell Valley, a volcanic valley with steam vents, sulfurous streams, and other geothermal features. Proceed to Noboribetsu Marine Park Nixe famous for its captivating marine wonders. If you are hungry already, you can eat lunch at one of the local restaurants in Noboribetsu, offering delicious Hokkaido cuisine, including fresh seafood, ramen, or local specialties. If interested, consider a visit to Noboribetsu Bear Park, home to brown bears. Learn about these magnificent creatures and watch them in a natural habitat. Go back in time to Japan’s Edo period by visiting Date Jidai Village. End the day by soaking in one of the onsen in Noboribetsu Onsen Street.
