Depart from Sapporo to Otaru, it takes around 40 minutes by car. Upon arrival in Otaru, start your exploration at the iconic Otaru Canal. Spend some time walking along the canal and enjoying the serene ambiance. After walking around the canal, you can proceed to Sakaimachi Street, located within walking distance from the canal; there are many shops for you to choose to buy some souvenirs. There are also many different restaurants for you to choose to grab a quick lunch or brunch. Along the way, you can proceed to Kitaichi Glass Museum to see exquisite local glass artistry.
